Ethereal Fall Garden Wedding In The Heart Of CT

We could not have asked for a more beautiful November day - brilliant blue sky, and there were still colorful leaves on the trees! The whole event felt ethereal and lovely, but comfortable. We kept our ceremony guest list small, and our reception guest list bigger, but modest. Our caterer provided us with a fantastic assortment of delicious options- I could not recommend them more highly. And the flowers, oh! You're here for the flowers. Let me talk a little about the experience. I was ambitious in setting out to do the flowers for the wedding. I knew that it would be a little bit stressful, but I also knew that I had an idea in mind of what i wanted them to look like, and I felt that myself and my girls were the people who could make that a reality. I am so thrilled with how they came out. They could not have been more beautiful and vibrant, and it was amazing how beautifully they tied into the color of the sky, and the russet peachy tones of the leaves- just gorgeous. Ultimately we made 8 small centerpieces, 4 medium centerpieces, 2 large crock centerpieces, 4 wreaths, 2 bridesmaid bouquets, and the bridal bouquet. The quality was fantastic, and there really was minimal waste. I did go with the suggested date delivery that was indicated for each different item on my order. I highly recommend thinking about shape as well as color, and I found the Fifty Flowers flower consultant to be an excellent resource. Working with her (I had a very clear idea of what I wanted) actually decreased the number of items that I purchased, and they added a discount. I would recommend spending some time doing your homework before reaching out to a flower consultant. I spent a good amount of time narrowing down my items and made sure to include those items as favorites in the form that they have you fill out in preparation for your consultation. Working with the consultant then gave me a strong idea of the quantity that I should order - with tweaks here and there for color. I reached out to schedule the consultation through their Help chat.
